A developer has gotten another step closer to building more than 100 new residences along Old Number Six Highway on Elloree’s east side, within walking distance of the historic downtown district.
Designed by GroupGSA, the proposed development located on Hampton Street comprises 787 residential apartments in single, two, three and four-bedroom configurations, and will also include 66 accessible apartments. With close proximity to shops, cinemas, supermarkets, transport hubs and parks, Hampton Yards will reflect the energy and vitality of the transformed Gabba precinct, according to the developer.
The county bought a number of vacant department stores in the mall years ago, and they’ve remained vacant ever since. Now, the county is solving a need for services and giving a new purpose to large portions of the mall.
