The Uttarakhand government on Saturday demanded four additional companies of central paramilitary forces to maintain law and order situation in Haldwani where violence erupted a few days ago during an anti-encroachment drive.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reiterated on Sunday to take strict action against the criminals involved in the violent clashes in Haldwani's Banbhoolpura area.
The admit card may be used as a curfew pass. A printed copy of the old admit card or new admit card shown on mobile will be allowed for entry to the centre.
Curfew has been lifted from the outer areas of the violence-hit Haldwani in Uttarakhand but it remains in force in the Banbhoolpura area that witnessed arson and vandalism by a mob over the demolition of an illegally-built madrasa on Thursday.
