First State FC comes back to pick up first-ever win after conceding two early goals to Hershey FC

First State FC comes back to pick up first-ever win after conceding two early goals to Hershey FC Guilherme Pereira scored in the 75th minute to lead the first-year team to their first NPSL win Share this story Matt Ralph PALMYRA, Pa. First State FC’s quest for the club’s first ever win wasn’t going so well inside a half hour on Saturday night in their NPSL Keystone Conference match with Hershey FC. Hamza Moosvi headed in a cross from Jo Panuccio just 10 minutes into the match at In the Net Sports Complex and made it 2-0 to the home team 13 minutes later when he punched in a giveaway in the back. Hershey had scored just once in their first three matches and found themselves not only holding an early two-goal lead but nearly connecting on a third when a shot hit the crossbar.

Hassan Mostafa The Newest Beast From the Middle East

Hassan Mostafa The Newest Beast From the Middle East | 2021 New York Pro Hassan Mostafa The Newest Beast From the Middle East | 2021 New York Pro Written by Ron Harris               In the August issue of MD, we introduced you to Mahmood Al Durrah, a star on the rise in the 212 division. He is carrying on the proud tradition of elite bodybuilders from Egypt that includes 1983 and 1984 Mr. Olympia runner-up Mohamed Makkawy and Big Ramy, as well as one of the greatest amateurs in the history of our sport, seven-time IFBB World Champion El Shahat Mabrouk. This year, we witness the debut in the pro ranks of 27-year-old Hassan Mostafa, born and raised in Egypt and now residing in what has become the new Mecca for bodybuilding in the eastern world, Kuwait. His first appearance on the pro stage was earlier this season at the Indy Pro, where he placed third behind winner Steve Kuclo and runner-up Akim Williams,

Young Guns Showdown! Blessing Awodibu vs. Nick Walker

We have certainly seen some epic rivalries in our sport over the years. In the 1970s and into 1980, we had Arnold and Franco, followed briefly by Arnold and Mike Mentzer. The great Lee Haney was dogged throughout his eight-year run as Mr. Olympia by two smaller men: Rich Gaspari, who routinely trumped him in condition, and Lee Labrada, whose shape and posing prowess were unparalleled. Perhaps the greatest rivalry we ever saw were the battles between Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler on the Olympia stage, though we did get another set of fierce battles between Phil Heath and Kai Greene. Things have certainly changed in the sport since the dawn of social media. It was there that a new rivalry emerged between two 20-somethings who have yet to face each other on stage. One is Nick Walker, a beast of a young man who hit the pro stage for the first time just weeks after earning his pro card at the IFBB North American Championships. I was there in Atlanta, site of the 2020 Chicago Pro, and

SHAUN CLARIDA WINS THE 212 DIVISION | FRIDAY NIGHT WRAP UPS WITH RON & MIKE

SHAUN CLARIDA WINS THE 212 DIVISION | FRIDAY NIGHT WRAP UPS WITH RON & MIKE | 2020 OLYMPIA SHAUN CLARIDA WINS THE 212 DIVISION | FRIDAY NIGHT WRAP UPS WITH RON & MIKE | 2020 OLYMPIA Written by Ron Harris     Big Ramy might win this Mr. Olympia. I said it. Defending champ Brandon Curry looked good when he first came out (at nearly 11pm), but faded fast. Additionally, he didn’t seem to have brought his legs up from last year. As he spilled over with a film of water, they became a liability. Phil brought the condition he’s known for, but as he grew fatigued from endless comparisons, his midsection began to bulge and wash out. It wasn’t nearly what we saw in 2018, but it was a distraction.
