(westernkansasnews.com)–Tuesday’s games for Scott City at Goodland would be the final games that would count toward the sub-state standings, which are scheduled to be released on Wednesday. Interestingly enough, both Goodland and the Beavers are not in the same sub-state. In the end, the schools would split the competitive doubleheaders, as the Cowgirls pulled away late for a 43-36 win, while Scott City would hold on in the boys game 44-41.

The Lady Beavers would push the No. 5 team in Class 3A to the end. Tuesday’s final score did not show how close the game would be throughout. Other than the seven-point margin in the end, neither side led by more than two possessions for a vast majority of the night.
