On Wednesday (January 27), Zee News Editor-in-Chief Sudhir Chaudhary took upon himself to visit the fortress and show the viewers of Zee News what was left behind after the security forces managed to save the Red Fort from the hoodlums. Shattered glass, broken parts of walls, window panes, poles and boards, can be seen strewn across the length and breadth of the Red Fort.
As cracks began to appear in their ongoing stir, the farmer unions cancelled their planned march to Parliament on February 1 the day when the General Budget is due to be presented. However, they said their agitation against the farm laws will continue and public meetings and hunger strikes will be held across the country on January 30.

The action against the farmer leaders came as Delhi Police Commissioner SN Shrivastava alleged that several of them made inflammatory speeches and were involved in the violence.

NEW DELHI: A day after violence during the tractor parade, the Delhi Police has named 37 farmer leaders, including Rakesh Tikait, Yogendra Yadav and Medha Patkar, in an FIR that mentioned charges of rioting, criminal conspiracy and attempt to murder among others, officials said.
