Our town has long been in need of a jumpstart that suggests vibrancy and viability, rather than aging and decaying. The news could not have come at a better time.
Facts and truth matter. The Gadsden Times has recently published at least two articles that provide factual information regarding the pet food ingredient plant controversy.
It is not expected that either of the competing sides, opponents or supporters, would present information that would cast the other in a favorable light. The newspaper has served the purpose that news organizations hold dear in the presentation of “just the facts” as a check on those in power.
The Gadsden City Council has a difficult decision to make that is, if they listen to all sides, weigh negatively and positively what they have been presented with consideration for those who elected them to office.
