Taste of Wine: An Italian dynamic duo Flora and Antica

Senior Editor Frank and I were excited to attend the recent Antica Wine Dinner at Flora Bar & Kitchen under the leadership of proprietor Sal Ercolano. As a reminder, Ercolano was Taste of Wine and Food’s 2020 Restaurateur of the Year.
When many were shuttering restaurants, Ercolano purchased Amici’s and converted it to Flora knowing its potential once the pandemic eased. Extra special was the fact that this was the first wine dinner held at Flora due to COVID-19 restrictions.

On Friday, April 30 from 6:30-9 p.m., satiate your palate while learning the ins and outs of how to choose the perfect Italian wine during Michele DeWittâs âItâs The Wine Talking â Italian Pairing.â Hosted at the beautiful Hickory Street Annex, DeWitt, co-founder of FB Society and Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 3 advanced sommelier, will guide guests through a five-course food and wine pairing thatâll feature dishes that youâd enjoy during a spring trip to Italy. The special prix-fixe menu, catered by Vestals Catering, will include:
