A group of parents came together to find support. They had Adult Children with Mental Illness. They shared resources, they exchanged stories, and they really built a community, and today we serve people through our telephone helpline, multiweek courses, and a telephonebased parentmatching program where we match a parent who has a child with Mental Illness with a parent who is experienced dealing with the mentalhealth system. All of our programs are free, and all of our programs are led by people who have been there, they get it, they have that connection with the mentalhealth system. Thats essential.
