Wednesday Workout: Americans in Sharjah

Six Americans competed in the star-studded Sharjah Masters, held May 17 through 25 in the United Arab Emirates. The all-GM field consisted of 78 players, with GMs Sam Sevian, Hans Niemann, and Grigoriy Oparin all joining a seven-way tie for second place with a 6/9 score. GM Arjun Erigaisi won clear first with 6½/9. Below are highlights of some of the Americans' top games, including some fighting chess by GM Christopher Woojin Yoo.
