AKWESASNE Two people from Akwesasne are facing several charges each following a two-month Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service investigation into street-level drug trafficking.
Police said the AMPS’ joint investigation team searched a residence in the Kahwehno:ke district (Cornwall Island), where officers seized about 24 grams of what they alleged was cocaine, a mix of Canadian and U.S. currency, packaging materials, and a weigh scale. A 32-year-old man and 50-year-old woman were also arrested.
