ALBANY – A comedian and actor from Colonie is the fourth candidate to express an interest in the city’s mayoral race.
Greg Aidala, whose family owns Quail Auto Sales in the city’s West End, launched his campaign Wednesday.
Aidala said he is running for mayor because he wants to create a place that residents are proud of and that is inviting to businesses.

Greg Aidala has officially announced his run to become the 76th Mayor of Albany and I couldn t be prouder to say that. Greg is a graduate of South Colonie High School, like myself, and is one of the greatest people that I ve had the pleasure of ever meeting. I ve had the opportunity on a few different occasions to have Greg on my show for a few of his projects and every time he s been in the studio with me, he was fantastic. I totally understand that it takes more than being a great guy to be the Mayor of Albany and the point of this post is not to simply sing the praises of Greg on a personal level.
