The Green Line Paribahan lawyer also sent a letter which said Russel will get the remaining Tk 10 lakh within two months.
Shamsul handed over the cheque to Russel at his Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) chamber.
Russel expressed his happiness to The Daily Star after getting the money in line with the HC verdict. I will not get my leg back. But, I am grateful to the honourable High Court and my lawyer for their role to ensure my compensation. I am now unemployed. I will run a small grocery business with Tk 2-3 lakh at my village in Gaibandha. I will deposit the rest of the money in bank, he added.
