Hudson Hall Hosts Virtual Kwanza Celebration | through January 2 On December 26, Hudson Hall, in cooperation with Operation Unite Education and Cultural Arts Center, kicked off a virtual community Kwanzaa Umoja celebration, which is running through January 1. The festivities will include a special lighting of the Kinara ceremony by the Sankofa awardees and community leaders and taped performances of “It’s Kwanzaa, Mom!,” a theater presentation by Operation Unite, Kuumba Dance and Drum, the Harambe Dance Company, and the COARC Kuumba Warriors; a premier showing of Hudson by choreographer Kyle Marshall; and photographs by JD Urban Photography and David

Maggazino Italian Art Launches Cold Spring Soundtrack | ongoing
Last fall, Cold Spring contemporary art museum Maggazino Italian Art, artist Marinella Senatore, and composer Emiliano Branda put out the call to the public to submit short sound recordings to be woven together for Cold Spring Soundtrack, an audio art project. After two months, over 130 contributions from individuals across the world had been collected from people of all ages, backgrounds, and musical disciplines. The completed work is set to premiere on December 21 on Maggazino’s website.
