GREELEY, Colo. Thomas “Tom” J. Gordon, 91, of Greeley, passed away Jan. 8, 2021, at his home in Greeley.
Tom was born June 22, 1929 in Mountain View, Okla., to Thomas J. and Etta (Murray) Gordon. He married Wynona Webb on Oct. 7, 1951 in Annapolis, Maryland. They were married for 66 years.
He was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelors’ degree in Chemistry. Tom moved to Great Bend, Kan., in 1954. He was the founder and President of Gordon Lab, Inc., an oilfield chemical company, for about 25 years. He was a member and officer of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the National Association of Corrosion Engineers, and member of the Board of Directors of the American Petroleum Institute, the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce and President of the Great Bend County Club.
