Cheney was dumped by House Republicans after repeated criticism of Trump.
The last straw came Tuesday when Cheney promised she “will not sit back and watch in silence while others lead our party down a path that abandons the rule of law and joins the former president’s crusade to undermine our democracy.”
Reacting to the development, Trump issued a statement noting “I watched her yesterday and realized how bad she is for the Republican Party. She has no personality or anything good having to do with politics or our Country.”
After Republicans voted to oust Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) from her party’s House leadership position on Wednesday, former President Donald Trump issued a statement cheering the vote and predicting Cheney will soon become a paid contributor on a left-wing cable channel.

Cheney, one of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump, has been vocal in her criticism of Trump for his conduct after the 2020 election and said during her Tuesday speech that she will not sit back and watch in silence while others lead our party down a path that abandons the rule of law. Liz Cheney is a bitter, horrible human being, Trump said in a statement Wednesday. I watched her yesterday and realized how bad she is for the Republican Party, Trump added, referring to Cheney s speech on the House floor Tuesday. She has no personality or anything good having to do with politics or our Country.

Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives signaled their solidarity with former President Donald Trump Wednesday, voting to oust Wyoming Representative Liz Cheney from her GOP leadership role. It’s not fully clear how many of Oklahoma’s members voted for her removal.
Cheney s ouster was done by voice vote in private caucus meeting Wednesday morning, some members preferring not to make public how they voted. Clearly, though, a significant majority of the overall caucus supported to move, upset with Cheney for publicly calling out former President Trump for continuing to falsely claim the election was stolen.
