Wolf named new GRTS director

Wolf named new GRTS director Wolf offered contract after 8 years as assistant director Submitted Adam Wolf has been named as the new director of Grand River Technical School (GRTS). The Chillicothe R-II Board of Education has offered a contract to Wolf to be the next director of GRTS, beginning with the 2021-2022 school year. According to a press release from Laura Schuler, secretary to the board and superintendent, the board took approved the appointment during a Feb. 16, executive session. Wolf has served as the school’s assistant director since 2013. Prior to coming to the Chillicothe R-II School District, he worked as an agriculture instructor and FFA Advisor at the Eldon Career from 2006 to 2013.

Chillicothe News At the Jan. 19 Chillicothe R-II Board of Education meeting, the board accepted and approved the following personnel changes. Retirements: Jenny Hughes, a business teacher at Grand River Technical School; Annie Shipp, high school math teacher;  Christine Jones, middle school science teacher; Pam Swift, preschool teacher; Carla Williams, preschool teacher; Brad Cavanah, high school language arts teacher; Jayme Caughron, Grand River Technical School director; Nancy Thorne, high school science teacher. Candice Huffman was hired as a  high school food service employee. The board also accepted the resignations of Marcy Meservey, a middle school paraprofessional. The following employees were hired or approved for extra duty within the district:  Roman Cranmer for freshman girls basketball coach for the second half of the season; and Josh Lisle as head baseball coach.
