Multiple fire departments respond to Ottawa County house fire

OTTAWA COUNTY, MI – Two people were treated for smoke inhalation after fire caused extensive damage to a Grand Haven-area home.
The fire was reported just before 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25, on Johnson Street, just east of 128th Avenue, in Grand Haven Township.
Firefighters reported flames had broken through the roof of the single-story home when they reached the scene.
Smoke was visible from a distance.
Grand Haven Township firefighters had assistance from fire departments from Allendale, Crockery, Olive and Robinson townships.
Firefighters had the blaze until control within an hour but expected to be on the scene for some time looking for hot spots.
