MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission has directed the authorities concerned to take action for violation of the code of conduct against Ghoar Zarar Vileed, an employee of Local Government and Rural Development. The election commission also directed taking similar action against Ghangir Hussain Shah, an employee of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Raja Munsif Khan, a teacher at Govt High School, Kacheli, and Muhammad Hanif, an employee of Usher and Zakat Department.

Ludhiana: With as many as 40 students of various schools in the district testing positive for coronavirus last week, the spread of Covid-19 among the students has emerged as a big challenge for the authorities.
Although cases of infection among teachers and students have been reported since the reopening of schools last month, the rate of students testing positive has increased of late. Of the 86 students found infected with the virus in various schools of the district, nearly half (40) were tested positive last week only, according a health department data.
All the cases of infection among students reported last week came from two schools, including Government Senior Secondary School, Chaunta, from where 37 cases have been reported till now, while seven cases have surfaced in a private school in Samrala. A female teacher and a male peon of the Chauta school also tested positive last week.

Rawalpindi, January 26, 2021 (PPI-OT): Anti-Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 2037.522 Kgs narcotics and 120 Litres Prohibited Chemical valuing US $ 757.78 Million internationally, arrested 8 culprits and impounded 5 vehicles while conducting 14 counter-narcotics strikes throughout the country. The seized drugs comprised of 1063 Kg Opium, 715 Kg Morphine, 58.022 Kg Heroin, 200.1 Kg Hashish, 1.4 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice) and 120 Litres Acetic Anhydride.
