(Reuters file) With Bengaluru facing the brunt of the second wave of Covid-19, Karnataka health minister Dr. K Sudhakar said that from now onwards, for every single positive case detected, at least 20 contacts have to be tested. The minister added that with the new testing strategy in place, the government will test around 1 lakh people every single day. Dr. K Sudhakar organized a review meeting with officials from Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), Bengaluru (Urban) and Bengaluru (Rural) districts and said that the government is adopting the strategy of implementing strict measures and increasing the rate of vaccination among the local population.
