A former Commissioner for Finance in Ondo State, Mr Wale Akinterinwa, has announced that he will honour an invitation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) today (Thursday). Mr Akinterinwa was one of the 16 aspirants who contested the All Progressives Congress governorship primary election in Ondo State last weekend. However, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa was declared the winner by the party, in an election marred by irregularities.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released a former Commissioner for Finance in Ondo State, Mr Wale Akinterinwa, after he was grilled for hours over alleged fraud. Akinterinwa made this known on X, praising the operatives of the anti-graft commission for their professionalism. He said, “I just left the EFCC office following their invitation. I commend the operatives for being very professional and civil. I assured them of my utmost cooperation whenever I am needed to assist in their investigations.”
