The introduction of mobile devices for police officers on the frontline has improved safety and public confidence, according to research carried out by academics in Aberdeen.
Nearly 11,000 response, community and specialist officers across Scotland have been equipped with the technology as part of their operational duties.
Since the rollout in 2019, officers are now able to spend more time in the communities they serve, conducting patrols and focussing on crime prevention.
It follows research commissioned by Police Scotland and carried out by Robert Gordon University, Abertay University in Dundee and supported by technology firm Motorola.
