Duleshwar Tandi, who records under the name Dule Rocker, knows exactly what his music isn’t about.
“My rap isn’t to please you,” the 27-year-old said in a phone interview from Bhubaneshwar, where he lives. “It’s not for your entertainment and your parties and dancing.”
Equally, the part-time construction worker from Odisha’s Kalahandi district knows just what he wants people to get out of his music: “I write about social and political issues that are important for people to know.”

INDORE: Surgeons in Indore had to remove half of the upper jaws of four patients infected by mucormycosis or black fungus over the last one week to save their lives, a senior surgeon said on Tuesday. A team of surgeons from our college operated on 50 patients of black fungus during the last one week. For the prevention of the infection, we had to surgically remove half of the upper jaws of four patients, said Dr Amit Rawat, Associate Professor, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Government Autonomous College of Dentistry.
The land meant for permanent campus of Kalahandi University in Bhawanipatna
BHUBANESWAR: Newly created Kalahandi University has received the land for setting up its permanent campus at Karlapada near Bhawanipatna, which is the district headquarters of Kalahandi. It is situated 18km from the existing campus at Bhawanipatna.
In September 2019, the state government had converted the Kalahandi University into an affiliating university after chief minister Naveen Patnaik’s approval. Until then, it was Government Autonomous College, Bhawanipatna, as the state government had given it unitary status on March 6, 2019.
“The 96.47-acre land is around 10km from the Utkela airstrip, which has been included in the Centre’s UDAN scheme for regional connectivity. It is a scenic location right next to the Tel river and hills. It is well-connected with the Bhawanipatna-Khariar road one side.
