point in time of the certification process in congress. again, they ultimately conceded the point, is that different? well, i mean the candidates conceded, i grant your point. but the party at large never did. what percentage of democrats today do you think donald trump won fair and square in 2016? and beyond, that even though hillary clinton conceded, democrats still immediately, there was an article before trump was even sworn in about the plotting of his impeachment. so a republican would say, yes, she conceded. but the party never did. that led to the interminable russia investigation, the impeachment, and everything they did. that is how, i, think an average republican voted would argue. i know the percentage but i would venture to say it is less than 16 or 17% of republicans are now still s tell pollsters that they don t believe joe biden won. i also lived the bush years and i know that after the 2000 election, democrats did not believe bush won variants where. i know in 20

the 2020 election was safe and fair. it is ludicrous. i hear what you are saying, there is often questions about what went into voting. but not to this level. when it was gore versus bush, at some point the adjudication was done, the country, accepted that it was george bush. i mean, the best person that put this perfectly said that you can run the best campaign, you can become the nominee, and you can still have the election stolen. that was said by hillary clinton in 2019. it makes you think that you can have an appointed questioning election, right? for me, mastriano as you well know in pennsylvania, major election denier. and as a young republican, i don t want to be in a republican party that is run by people who deny the election. there is no evidence of fraud, there was no evidence that the election did not have integrity.

pete an honorary law degree. it should be pete williams esquire. obamacare. president obama thought he had lost that case. they were against him. ruled unconstitutional. a dramatic blow to the policy and to the president. and he came out and was the only one who said that president obama had won the case. reporter: the bottom line here is the supreme court has upheld the health care case. it was only nbc who got it right. gore versus bush, the recount. we re trying to figure out what did it mean. he seemed to be the only one that understood it. reporter: little doubt that there s no room for a recount. there have been times when i have a big interview coming up, and i can call pete. he shares his knowledge. if he s got a scoop, he doesn t have to be the face of the scoop. he s warm, he s welcoming. he s a good, wonderful human being. the three loves of ruth bader ginsburg s life, her family, the law excuse me and opera.

was going on at the supreme court and the justice department. but anybody looking for a master class in journalism, andrea mitchell, all you have to do is look in the mirror. well, let s talk about the court and the unique things you ve covered. i mean, the court cases, obviously bush v. gore, and some of those enormous decisions. the roe recently, same-sex marriage. how do you see this transition in the court? well, the court s clearly entering a new era. it really started the day that sandra day o connor retired and was replaced by samuel alito. the court has moved to the right. it goes through periodic shifts. during the time when earl warren was the chief justice, it moved one direction. it was in the middle ground when william rehnquist was the chief justice. now with these three recent appointees from president trump it s the most conservative court

thought somebody got elected you put politics aside. after all, we didn t run four year campaigns. things would be a lot tighter to the date and time. but the civil war broke things apart pretty much. there became a period of the imperial presidency with theodore roosevelt. but in more recent times, we re seeing our country so divided, everything so close. i mean, just look at 2000 with gore versus bush. many people didn t accept bush 43 as a legit president because he didn t win the popular vote. we ve been having kind of impeachment fever in the country. it s almost part and parcel there s going to be a president ginned up to impeach you. let s look at the numbers side-by-side. cnn s most recent polling. donald trump 50% desire to impeach and remove. that s steady from october before the hearings began.
