Google announced the rollout of live translated captions in Google Meet on Web and mobile. When the feature is on, the app will automatically translate spoken language into another language, and display captions. Google Meet is also adding a new Companion Mode feature which allows users to add remote members through an additional screen.

Meeting participants will be able to use live translated captions if the meeting is organised by a user in beta or an eligible Google Workspace edition.
