Rickey W. Pond, 70, of Duluth, MN passed away Tuesday, December 8th 2020. He was born on Aug 24, 1950 in Duluth, MN to Bill and Pinky (Taylor) Pond. He was a lifelong Duluth resident and 1968 graduate of Morgan Park High School and a 1973 graduate of UMD. He worked at Georgia Pacific from 1973 to 2002, retiring as Scheduling Supervisor. Rick was a member of Good Hope Church, American Legion Post 71 and AARP. He enjoyed taking trips, cabin outings, hunting, biking or just feeding or playing with any animal or bird that would let him. He loved spending time outdoors, especially at the deer shack where he cherished every minute with family and friends. Rick loved to see the big smiles from all the kids who came to the shack as they picked out toys from his famous boxes full of toys.
