Route 28 bypass online info session planned over next 3 months
County leaders in Prince William are holding more information sessions on one of the most expensive regional transportation projects in recent memory, the Route 28 bypass.
The first session will be held today, from noon until 1 p.m. It will focus on the construction timeline of the $300 million project to build a new four-lane road connecting Godwin Drive in Manassas to Route 28 at the Fairfax County line.
It’s the first of four informational sessions to be held on the project. The next, on May 28 will focus on the right-of-way process, as a total of 50 single-family homes could be demolished as part of the construction process.
