General Motors introduced a mildly updated version of the Chevy Equinox for the 2021 model year, however the COVID-19 pandemic forced the automaker to delay the arrival of the revised version of the crossover until 2022. Despite the delay, all the new equipment that was to arrive on the 2021 Chevy Equinox will carry over to the 2022 Chevy Equinox – including the RS trim level.
The RS trim level for the 2022 Chevy Equinox adds a unique front grille treatment/fascia, different rear fascia, black exterior accents, black Equinox badges, black-painted 19-inch wheels and a quad-tip exhaust. The interior also gets some sport-inspired enhancements, including contrasting red stitching and an RS-branded shift knob with a stitched leather shift boot.
