In honor of Women’s History Month, the Christian County School District offered a two-day event for mothers to foster connections between parents and the school system.
The program lasts two weeks, with the second week dedicated to job shadowing and allowing youth the chance to discover what they want to pursue as their career. During the June session, 17 youth graduated, with 14 graduating following the July session. As a part of the program, those who graduate earn a $200 check.
The Challenge House program was founded in 2007 by the late Wally Bryan when he opened the first house on Central Avenue.
