21-Year-Old Woman Fatally Shot In North Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide after a 21-year-old woman was shot and killed in north Charlotte early Monday.
Officers responded to Twin Brook Drive, off of Gibbon Road, around 12:30 a.m. after an Assault With a Deadly Weapon call for service. When officers arrived, they found woman suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, identified as Sherlyn Drew, was pronounced dead at the scene by MEDIC.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
