PROPOSALS for new parking restrictions across Lewes district are set to go before county council planners next week. On Wednesday (July 14), East Sussex County Council’s planning committee is set to consider proposals connected to tp the Lewes District Parking Review 2020 – 2021. If approved, the proposals would see a number of new parking restrictions introduced in towns and villages around the district. In Newhaven, there would be new double-yellow lines in: Gibbon Road; Hanson Road; High Street; Hill Side; Meeching Road; North Lane; and St Lukes Lane. At the same time, there would be new time limited parking in South Road.
