For locals, walking in inundated Kharo Chan was as normal as a stroll in a paved park. For a group of journalists, each step was calculated, as they would lose their footing in the waist-high water.
Dr Nuzhat Khan is clearly a woman of substance. She is not only the first female oceanographer of Pakistan but is also the first female Director General in National Institute of Oceanography . She received NIO-Excellence award 2011, as recognition.
