TAXILA: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam on Saturday said the government was making serious efforts to overcome challenges being faced by the country.
He was addressing a public gathering after performing inaugurating gas supply to Attock. PTI focal person Syed Khawar Abbas Bukhari and other notables of the area were also present on the occasion. Over 300 houses get the facility through this project.
He said the government was working on various fronts to correct things and steer the country out economic crisis, overcome energy shortage, control price hike and alleviate poverty.
Issues of Ghazi Barotha Hydro Project Affectees to be Quickly Resolved: NA Speaker
Speaker National Assembly, Asad Qaiser, has said that the socio-economic, employment and groundwater impact of the Ghazi Barotha Hydro Power Project be assessed at the earliest.
He said that people’s lives and livelihood are directly attached to this project. Redressing the hardships of the affectees of this project must be the priority of the concerned government agencies, he added.
The speaker expressed these views while chairing the meeting regarding the issues faced by affectees of the Ghazi Barotha Hydro Project in the Parliament House today.
