"My wife's desire was not to make money during Hari Raya but to give back something. That's why we bear the cost. We absorb a lot of the cost, and we sell the cheapest in the bazaar at $1 per piece because it wouldn't be right to burden our customers with higher prices," the stall owner said.
"I am pleased to announce that we have now exceeded more than 2 million visitors who have come to Bazaar Raya Geylang Serai!” said Minister of State Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim
The bazaar had already caused much uproar when it was first known to have rental prices of up to $18,000, which in recent discoveries, has increased to $24,000.
