Don’t see point of voting in elections
Well, 1,400 people had their say the other day voting in the SCSD elections, giving the top vote getter about 700 (+/-) votes.
In liberal speak, that is winning with a mandate. Woo-hoo!
I read an article in the paper where one person mentioned that for the first time ever, they were not going to vote in favor of the budget.
My wife and I went a step further and chose not to vote at all.
We figured that no matter who you voted for to sit on the board, it was just going to be policy after policy of whatever drives mainstream media that month critical race ‘therapy,’ no-gender children, stop teaching math, the new English or something unimaginable except in possibly a bizarro world.

Convict Trump and prevent future runs
I am a retired truck driver. Donald Trump must be convicted and disqualified from running for office ever again.
The House impeached Trump for his incitement of an armed insurrection against the U.S. government to throw out the results of the presidential election.
Now, it’s time for the Senate to act.
The House drew a clear red line that Trump’s behavior warranted impeachment. If he’s convicted in the Senate, Trump can be forever barred from holding public office again.
The Senate must hold Donald Trump accountable for his attack on our democracy and the rule of law. Our democracy must emerge stronger from this crisis. I demand that ALL senators vote for conviction and disqualification of former president Donald Trump.

Lots of bridge strikes on Glenridge Road with long traffic delays and no solution in sight.
What if clearance bars were installed in each approaching lane far enough back to allow the truck to turn onto either Bruce Drive or Hetcheltown Rodd and a sign on each side of the railroad bridge saying “If you just hit the clearance bar, turn left now! If you strike the bridge, you will be arrested and fined.”
Too complicated? Too messy?

Remembering mom by sharing tradition
I was young when Mom taught me how to make the dressing for the turkey, no boxed or bagged mix. We would cut up the bread with our fingers, then cook the sausage with butter, celery and onions, also adding chicken broth and several eggs to the mixture with poultry seasoning
