James Robert Sbresni flew into Western Australia during lockdown in May, 2021, before he raped a 14-year-old girl in bushland and at the abandoned Batavia Motor Inne in Geraldton.
A close relative of the accused teen, 15, revealed the girl from a disadvantaged background was only granted bail from Banksia Hill Juvenile Detention Centre on Saturday.
