Goodspeed Musicals, Vineyard Theatre, and Irish Repertory Theatre, in association with Jeff Berger, will present John Cullum: An Accidental Star, which will be available for streaming on demand through April 22.
Two live watch party events will take place at 7 p.m. April 8 and 2 p.m. April 17.
Conceived by Cullum and Berger, the 80-minute evening of stories and songs spanning Cullum’s illustrious career is told and sung by the 91-year-old two-time Tony Award winner. Directed and filmed earlier this year by Lonny Price and Matt Cowart, An Accidental Star features a book by David Thompson, music supervision by Georgia Stitt and music direction by Julie McBride.

The summer entertainment season on Cape Cod and the Islands is coming into sharper focus, as a film festival, a concert series and a theater company all announced plans in the past few days.
And good news for people with cabin fever due to COVID-19 restrictions: More of the events may be live than you might think.
For the first time, the Nantucket Film Festival will expand to 11 days, with a hybrid format June 17 through 28 that will include drive-in screenings, what’s described as “intimate garden screenings and conversations” and access to online movies. Festival passes go on sale April 1, with streaming passes and a full schedule available in May.

College of the Canyons proudly welcomes composer/lyricist, conductor, pianist and music producer Georgia Stitt to the School of Visual & Performing Arts’ Virtual Industry Insight Series on Wednesday, March 10.
“I am excited to bring the inspirational Georgia Stitt to speak with our College Community in March,” said Jennifer Smolos, dean of the School of Visual & Performing Arts. “Ms. Stitt’s work inspires many women in a field that has been historically dominated by men. I am delighted that her presentation coincides with Women’s History Month.”
Stitt is the Founder and President of Maestra, an activist organization for women musicians in the theater. She has written original musicals, choral works, and collaborated with an incredible array of Broadway artists, including her husband Jason Robert Brown. There may be no better way to start a nightclub act than sending Benjamin Rauhala onto the stage to set the scene. He isn t called the Fairy Godfairy for nothing and although the dining room at Feinstein s/54 Below is obviously empty, even though there is naught but a single piano up on the bare stage, with Benjamin in a Stitch holiday sweater and his flair for both storytelling and the eight-eight keys, you ve got magic. That s all it takes.
But it isn t all there is.
The Broadway Princess Party is one of the most successful franchises in the club and concert industry and usually, when one of their shows is presented, it sells out with breathtaking expediency. Thanks to the streaming special that has been running, courtesy of 54 Below Premieres, people far and wide have been able to catch the Princesses in action. Mind you, it isn t the same experience as seeing them live because part of the excitement of seeing the Broadway Princess Party in person is the cosplay. Audience memb
