Parents, South Jersey school officials following mask mandates closely

It s a little like back-to-school deja vu. A year after the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the virus remains a factor in how school districts start another academic year.  Much like the summer of 2020, administrators are spending this summer waiting out governor s office directives as well as COVID-19 infection rates and vaccine data before releasing solid plans for how students will experience the 2021-2022 school year.  Parents are once again hungry for details despite wait-and-see school district philosophies. This summer, however, we do know a few things for sure: Gov. Phil Murphy wants kids back in classrooms full time in September, and it s up to school districts to decide if unmasking kids is right in their schools.

Major new windfarm port announced on Teesside with 3,000 jobs to be created

A NEW port on Teesside to build the next generation of offshore wind projects will be constructed as part of a £20 million investment to boost the UK’s world-leading industry and create 3,000 new jobs in the North, the government announced today (Wednesday). Teesworks Offshore Manufacturing Centre, on the River Tees, will receive up to £20 million and will begin construction later this year to update the port with new infrastructure – helping to revitalise the historic industrial heartland. The port will have the capacity to house up to three manufacturers to support the development of the next-generation of offshore wind projects, substantially boosting the UK’s offshore wind manufacturing base.
