103rd Annual Candy Dance returns to Genoa this weekend

The first Candy Dance was held in Genoa in 1919, and came about as a fundraiser to purchase street lights for the tiny town tucked away against the Sierra mountains in the Carson Valley. Now, over 100 years later, the annual Arts and Crafts Fair is still being held.
