cheering. time for a look at the weather. here s helen willetts. some beautiful weather watchers last night. as you can see from the skies, these are from highlands scotland but it s a strong our rowrah at the moment so if we get clear skies we may see it. towards the north we have that coming in to parts of scotland and perhaps a bit further south as well. we do have cloudier skies here, you see at the moment, on that weather front. lots of showers and still the remnants of the overnight rain, pacific oceany rain in the south. between it, sow good spells of sunshine and we have lost the humidity. so while we have a blustery breeze and showers continuing across scotland, northern ireland, they tend to ease, temperatures aren t quite as high, as they were last night, because we have lost the humidity. sorry, yesterday, but it feels pleasant out there. we should see evening sunshine as the showers fade away, so an opportunity to witness the northern lights in the north but not
attack on the capitol. but more than three hours went by before donald trump said much of anything. next week s hearing, the eighth one of the series, building upon evidence showing how trump tried to use the power of his government to overturn joe biden s victory. we re going to walk down to the capitol. he called on his supporters to come to washington on january 6th. so why did you decide to march to the capitol? basically, the president got everybody riled up, told everybody to head on down. so we basically just followed what he said. tuesday s hearing, vice chair liz cheney revealing that trump tried to call a potential witness. something the committee relaid to the department of justice. let me say one more time, we will take any effort to influence witness testimony very seriously. but today, chairman bennie thompson telling cnn that the committee does not plan to depose this potential witness. it doesn t know why trump made the call. you have intervi
her testimony. he does not have the courage she showed and is refusing to tell the committee what he knows. men like mark meadows who are openly defying the subpoena to testify and avoiding us as well. we d love to talk to him not under oath, but he s shown no willingness to even face questions from reporters. house minority leader mccarthy is seeking to cast doubt on miss hutchinson s testimony and the work of the committee. this is just the continuation. they re obsessed with trump and this is all they want to do, but this here say would never be allowed in the court of law. we should point out, nothing would be here say if mr. meadows or pat cipollone would testify under oath. all they need to do is tell the truth. say what they said. then everything would be clear. hutchinson is also being attacked be i the former president himself. here s some of what he told news max yesterday for an interview that aired today. this lady yesterday, there s something wrong with her
