Construction is due to commence on a long derelict site next to one of Bristol s best-loved landmarks.
A block of 142 flats will be built at the former McArthur s Warehouse on Spike Island, a short walk away from the SS Great Britain.
The harbourside site along Gas Ferry Road has already been cleared of the dilapidated building that once stood there, originally serving as the headquarters of the metal merchant McArthur Group.
