The man accused of impersonating an Uber driver and trying to rape a woman has been found not guilty after a trial in Tampa. A jury acquitted him on all charges.
A Tampa jury heard evidence Tuesday against the man accused of pretending to be an Uber driver to kidnap a 26-year-old woman and attempting to sexually assault her.
Gary Pyrus is charged with sexual battery and kidnapping after allegedly posing as a ride share driver and raping the woman who got into his car. He decided to go before a jury to answer for the charges.
