Suggested squad/signings for the 2021/2022 season on 16:13 - Apr 15 by tractordownsouth
Curtis will get a Championship move if Portsmouth don t go up. I think we re quite likely to see Chey Dunkley here and I d like Solomon-Otobor as well, although that will only happen if we get Richardson in from Wigan. Realistically our shopping list (with potential options) should be 1 x GK - Christian Walton 1 x LB - Charlie Daniels/Harry Pickering (loan from Blackburn) 1 x CB - Chey Dunkley/ Michael Morrison 1 x CM - Lee Evans/Oliver Rathbone/ Josh Scowen 1 x AM - Scott Twine/Izzy Brown 2 x W - Viv Solomon Otabor/ Gavin Massey/ Kazenga LuaLua/ Kadeem Harris
Town 3-2 Blackpool - Match Report
Saturday, 11th Apr 2015 17:05
Freddie Sears scored twice and Christophe Berra once as Town beat already-relegated Blackpool 3-2 at Portman Road. The Blues fell behind to Andrea Orlandi’s fourth-minute goal, prior to Sears striking twice before the break, then Henry Cameron levelled for Blackpool, but Berra sealed a win which really should have been more routine in the 83rd minute.
Tyrone Mings returned from his two-match ban at left-back, while Teddy Bishop was back in midfield and Sears up front.
Zeki Fryers dropped out of the 18 completely, while Richard Chaplow and Chris Wood were on the bench, alongside Jonny Parr, back from his hamstring problem. Already-relegated Blackpool included former Blues loanee Darren O’Dea from the start.
Lambert: We Just Prepared for the Game as Normal
Saturday, 6th Apr 2019 07:40
Blues boss Paul Lambert says Town prepared for Saturday’s game away against second-bottom Bolton Wanderers as they would normally, despite the match having been cast into doubt midway through the week due to the Trotters’ ongoing off-field problems.
As previously reported, the University of Bolton Stadium’s safety certificate was withdrawn on Tuesday with Wanderers unable to confirm that they would be able to adequately staff Saturday’s match until after a High Court appearance on Wednesday.
That hearing, which related to £1.2 million owed to HMRC and other debts, was adjourned until May 8th to allow time for a takeover by ex-Watford owner Laurence Bassini to be completed.
Ipswich Town 2-0 Blackpool - Match Report
Saturday, 6th Feb 2021 17:11
Goals either side of half-time from Alan Judge and Luke Woolfenden saw the Blues to a what was ultimately a comfortable 2-0 home victory over Blackpool. Judge stuck from 20 yards on 43, then Woolfenden added a second with a close-range header four minutes into the second half and the Blues really should have won more convincingly with a number of subsequent chances spurned.
Skipper Luke Chambers and five-goal joint-top scorer Gwion Edwards dropped to the bench as manager Paul Lambert handed debuts to new loan signings Luke Matheson and Troy Parrott from the start.
