Sweet Home man accused of sexually abusing children

SWEET HOME, Ore. – A Sweet Home man is in jail, accused of sexually abusing two young children, Linn County Sheriff Jim Yon said.
Detectives arrested Gary Coomer, 48, for multiple sexual abuse crimes on April 9. The investigation began in August 2020 when an 8-year-old girl and a 4-year-old girl reported sexual abuse.
Coomer faces two counts of first-degree rape, three counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of first-degree sodomy.
