For the past decade, food trucks have grown in popularity throughout the country. Like in many cities across the United States, Fort Smith residents have expressed a desire for food trucks in the downtown area.
All of downtown is zoned for food trucks, which may set up in the area for a fee of $150 if filed in the first half of the year and $75 if filed in the second half of the year. The city has identified the right-of-way at Cisterna Park as an area specifically zoned for this.
