In September, 17-year-old Islands High School student Ty Carter was found dead at a gas station in Garden City.
Now, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has secured an arrest warrant for a suspect in the case, 20-year-old Stanley Jivens.
According to a press release, Jivens was seen near the intersection of 2nd and Oak streets in Garden City Friday morning. Jivens is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing around 130 pounds.
On Sept. 22 Garden City police and the GBI responded to 6th Street and Davis Avenue, where they found Carter dead with gunshot wounds.
Carter was in his senior year at Islands High School.
