Medical teams from France and Luxembourg arrive in Portugal next week By TPN/Lusa, in News · 14-02-2021 10:00:00 · 3 Comments Portugal will next week receive two medical teams from France and Luxembourg, an important support in the treatment of Covid-19 patients in hospitals with high intensive care pressure, the Health Ministry announced. The Ministry of Health accepted the offer of help from the Luxembourgian and French governments to support the treatment of patients in Portugal, said the office of Marta Temido in a statement. According to the same source, the Luxembourg team, made up of two doctors and two nurses, will support the intensive medicine service at Espírito Santo Hospital in Évora, while the doctor and three French nursing professionals will work at Garcia de Orta Hospital in Almada.

Saul Loeb/AFP/Getty Images The relaxation of Covid-19 mitigation measures has to be done gradually, and there will be a need to wear masks for several more months, the US s top infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, said Friday on Good Morning America. “You want to do it gradually and safely as opposed to just turning it on and off right away,” Fauci, who heads the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said when asked by ABC’s George Stephanopoulos about whether it was safe for states to relax mask mandates and allow indoor dining again.
