Omobo Tsola Emiko is to be crowned the 21st Olu of Warri on August 21, 2021. The Iyatsere of the kingdom and acting Chairman, Olu’s Advisory Council, Chief Johnson Amatserunleghe, made the disclosure, yesterday, at the Palace of the Olu of Warri, in Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State.
Flanked by the Regent, Prince Emmanuel Okotie-Eboh , Chief Gabriel Awala,(the Uwangwe ) and other prominent chiefs and princes of the kingdom, the Iyatsere of the kingdom and acting Chairman Olu’s Advisory Council, Chief Amatserunleghe, who addressed newsmen, said the colourful coronation programme would hold at Ode Itsekiri, the ancestral home of Itsekiri nation.

Police get key to room housing Warri 400-year-old crown The Punch

The crisis rocking Warri Kingdom may soon be over as the key to the room housing the missing 400-year-old crown and other items has been found.
The Iyatsere of Warri Kingdom, Chief Johnson Atseleghe, and the suspended Ologbotsere of Warri, Chief Ayiri Emami, in company with other chiefs, reportedly met on Friday with the officer in charge of Anti-Vice in Zone 5 Police Command in Benin, SP David Okoro.
One of the chiefs, who attended the meeting, said the police had retrieved the keys of the room where the crown and other items were kept in the palace.
