SVHS Speech and Debate team members who competed at state include Nick Jardine, Priscilla Greenwell, Gabe Daniel, Holly Draney, Ashley Helm, Amalie Scherbel, Joseph Scherbel, Parker Thompson, Zoey Scherbel, Aidan Shervin, Kendrick Shervin, Maggie Daniel, Morgan Scaffide, Caleb Thygerson, Samuel Draney, Nathan Casperson and Callin Sanderson. Elie Thygerson, though part of the team, was unable to compete. The SVHS Speech and Debate team is advised by Katie Roberts and Julie Lewis.

Star Valley High School Senior Speech and Debate Team Captain Josef Scherbel, son of Karl and Holli Scherbel, of Etna, has been appointed by the Wyoming High School Forensic Association as one of six students state-wide to represent the forensic community as a 2021 Wyoming High School Forensic Ambassador.
