Raise issues concerned with the youth, advise senior leaders
Senior Congress leaders advised the Youth Congress workers to keep the government in check launching programmes that were in the interests of the youngsters, who are being deprived of their right of employment by the governments at the centre and the state.
Participating in the programme where the newly elected Telangana Youth Congress president K. Shiv Sena Reddy and other office bearers took charge, all the seniors wanted them to make a difference to the State politics sincerely raising the issues concerned with the youth.
‘Announcement worst ever in the State’
Telangana Congress has termed the Pay Revision Committee (PRC) recommendations a huge disappointment and a cruel joke on employees, and assured that the party would stand with them.
TPCC working president A. Revanth Reddy wondered whether any scientific method was used to arrive at 7.5% fitment, which was nothing but “insulting employees”. He said 7.5% fitment was announced in 1974 and it was a shame that similar percentage was announced after nearly 50 years.
AICC secretary and former Minister G. Chinna Reddy and former MLA Ch. Vamshichand Reddy said the announcement of just 7.5% fitment instead of 63% requested by employees, teachers and pensioners was the worst ever in the State.

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President & MP Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that the TRS Government was using Panchayat Raj institutions and urban local bodies for corruption. He also said that the strengthening of Panchayat Raj institutions and local bodies was necessary for survival of democracy in the country.

Congress holds day-long Satyagraha to highlight neglect of Panchayat Raj institutions
The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief and Parliament member N. Uttam Kumar Reddy lashed out at the TRS government, accusing it of turning the elected representatives of Panchayat Raj institutions and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) into symbolic entities with no powers or say in the decision-making process.
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has completely crushed Gram Panchayats and other institutions by ending their relevance just to have his say. The State government was using Panchayat Raj institutions and urban local bodies for corruption, he said.
