Bolton to benefit from £16m district centres funding package

BOLTON’S district centres are set to benefit from a £16m cash injection to make them a ‘better place to live and work’. Horwich, Little Lever, Westhoughton and Farnworth will get a slice of the funding put forward by Bolton Council. In Little Lever, £1.25m will go towards the new health centre and library, currently under construction and due to open in December. Cllr Sean Hornby said: “This is the biggest investment into Little Lever in more than 30 years. Despite difficult restrictions due to the pandemic we are delivering more parts of the jigsaw for our village centre.” The investment also includes the start of the new Lever Gardens residential scheme.
